Presenter: Maree O'Donnell
Maree's professional journey and lifelong passion have always been deeply rooted in the realms of health and education, with her family serving as the heart and inspiration behind her work. Fuelled by a profound commitment to safety and the belief that true freedom comes from living with self-confidence, Maree found her ideal alignment with Empowerment Trust. Her introduction to the organisation was as a participant in a Fullpower workshop, an experience so transformative that she soon orchestrated the introduction of Kidpower into her children's school.
Her dedication didn't stop there. Maree's enthusiasm for the Empowerment Trust's mission led her to volunteer her time and energy, eventually undertaking training to become a facilitator herself. Over the years, she has worn many hats within the organisation, each role deepening her conviction in the programmes' integrity and effectiveness. Maree speaks with the authority of experience when she champions the high standards maintained by the Trust's Code of Conduct, standards that are matched only by the unwavering passion she and her colleagues bring to their mahi.
For Maree, building strong communities starts with nurturing healthy relationships, beginning with the one we have with ourselves. This belief is at the core of her work, as she strives to empower individuals and families alike.
Quote: "I absolutely love seeing communities embed Kidpower skills and language into their methods of communication. It gives families so much more confidence and ability to navigate challenging situations."
