Online Workshop
Solution Focused
The Solution Focused Approach (SFBT) is currently a leading method in leadership, coaching, education, and counselling throughout the world. The principles of the Solution Focused Approach are simple to understand and can be mastered with practice - it has been likened to learning a language. One of the keys is developing a mindset that focuses on people’s resources, strengths and the outcome/s they want from the session.
Working with Children and young people with the Solution Focused Approach
Teachers, Managers, Team leaders, Counsellors, Social workers, Nurses, Pastors, Life-Coaches, Coaches and Parents will all glean precious gems from this workshop. Participants will gain skills and knowledge that can be immediately applied to their context or environment. At the heart of Solution Focused practice is the belief that change is possible and change is happening all the time. When a client is asked to notice that change it amplifies it and makes a difference to the client. It is a great pleasure and honour to walk with clients during this process.

Who is Matt Cameron?
This workshop is being facilitated by Matt Cameron. He started facilitating workshops in Timaru on this topic in 2020 and has since facilitated around NZ, online and internationally.
Matt lives in Timaru, New Zealand with his wife and they have two boys in their early 20's. He is currently a full-time counsellor working in primary schools and private practice. He was a teacher for 26 years and has taught at all Primary and Secondary school levels. He sometimes works as a tennis referee and enjoys his church family, being a home handyman, building or fixing things, and driving his tractor.
He also enjoys various sports and has played competitive tennis, badminton, soccer, rugby and most recently fistball - being selected to play in the NZ Masters team that travelled to Australia, and they won (you can google “fistball” ;-).
Since 2012 he has specialised in grief and loss work and loves working with couples and has been applying the Solution Focused approach since 2016. He is convinced that the Solution Focused approach is a client-centred, strength-based, resource amplifying, multi-cultural, user-friendly approach that is life changing and applicable to EVERY situation/issue. Find more inspiration in your work by learning the latest innovations in the Solution Focused approach.
"I am motivated more and more when I have done these workshops by the positive feedback I receive and the change it has made to every participant. I enthusiastically keep receiving regular global education, gleaning good practice and passion for the Solution Focused Approach. I loved a comment during one of the practice tasks in a Timaru workshop in 2020: "I can't ask about the problem... everyone in Timaru needs to come to one of these..."
